Turn the following sentences into Simple Sentences

1. Although they played well, they did not win.  
Ans: Despite their playing well they did not win.
 
2. After I had read the newspaper, I went for a walk.  
Ans: Having read the newspaper, I went for a walk.
 
3. If she dances well, she will win.  
In the event of her dancing well she will win.
 
4. "Don't shout," the teacher said to the children.  
Ans: The teacher ordered the children not to shout.
 
5. Even though they were intelligent, they failed.  
Ans: In spite of their intelligence they failed.
 
6. Unless he takes rest, he can't drive.  
Ans: Unless he takes rest, he can't drive.
 
7. I told my friends that my brother was interested in swimming.  
Ans: I told my friends about my interest in swimming.
 
8.  I have got a magazine which I want to read.  
Ans:I want to read a magazine I got.
 
9. As Mala sang melodiously, she was selected. 
Ans:  Mala was selected for her melodious singing.
 
10. He is so dull that he can't pass.
