List of Characters:  

Pip : Pip is both the narrator and the protagonist of the story. Pip is a parentless child being nurtured by his sister, Mrs. Joe Gargery, and her spouse, Mr. Joe Gargery, who works as a blacksmith. 

Mrs.Joe Gargery:  Mrs. Joe Gargery is a resentful and irate lady who raises Pip without the help of others. In other words, she regularly lashes him and expresses her grievances over his presence during these instances. 

Mr.Joe Gargery : Mr. Joe Gargery is a benevolent, albeit oppressed, blacksmith. While he is technically Pip's adopted father, Pip perceives him as a peer and a companion. Joe lacks formal education and may have a slower cognitive processing speed, yet he possesses a deep understanding of essential aspects of life.  

Mr.Wopsle : Mr. Wopsle is the church clerk of the village who aspires to deliver sermons from the pulpit, believing himself to be a skilled orator. Currently, he assumes the role of an actor.  Mr. and Mrs. Hubble are uncomplicated and foolish individuals that reside in Pip's village.

Mr.Hubble : Mr. Hubble is a skilled craftsman who specializes in the making and repairing of wheels. 

Uncle Pumblechook: UnclePumblechook is Joe's uncle, who is a prosperous corn-chandler in the village. He perceives himself as belonging to the upper-class, but in reality, he is an ostentatious and foolish individual. 

Great Aunt : Mr. Wopsle's great aunt operates a school in town from a cottage. An "absurd elderly woman."

Biddy:  Biddy is a young girl who is about the same age as Pip and possesses qualities of kindness and intelligence. She is employed by Mr. Wopsle's great aunt at the school.  Subsequently, she becomes employed by Joe to attend to the needs of Mrs. Joe Gargery.  

Miss Havisham :Miss Havisham is an eccentric and withered woman who never exposes herself to sunshine and is always dressed in her wedding attire. She is, in fact, a wealthy woman who resides in the Satis House located just outside the hamlet. However, she is known for her cold-hearted nature. 

Estella: Estella is the adopted daughter of Miss Havisham. The individual possesses a chilly and exceptionally confident demeanor, yet exudes remarkable beauty. She is approximately the same age as Pip and is the person whom Pip loves deeply.  

Georgiana: Elderly relatives of Miss Havisham who lack any affection for her but are solely motivated by their greed for her wealth. They swarm around Miss Havisham like insects. 

Sarah pocket:  Sarah Pocket refers to the elderly family members of Miss Havisham who lack any affection for her but are solely motivated by their avarice for her wealth. They swarm around Miss Havisham like insects.  

Cousin Raymond: Cousin Raymond refers to the elderly family members of Miss Havisham who lack any affection for her but are solely interested in her wealth. They swarm around Miss Havisham like insects.  

Camila: Camilla refers to the elderly family members of Miss Havisham who lack any affection for her but are solely interested in her wealth. They swarm around Miss Havisham like insects.  Orlick is a malevolent and rough individual whom Joe hires to work at the forge. He harbors animosity towards nearly everyone, yet holds an infatuation for Biddy. 

Matthew Pocket: Matthew Pocket is Miss Havisham's cousin, however he is not one of her avaricious relatives. Matthew Pocket is responsible for the care and supervision of nine children, two nurses, and a wife who is attractive but not really helpful. In addition, he provides tutoring services to young gentlemen, namely including Pip.

Herbert Pocket:  Herbert Pocket is the son of Matthew. A jovial and sincere young child who is approximately the same age as Pip. In London, he formed a close friendship with Pip, becoming his best companion.  

Jaggers:Jaggers is a lawyer who appears to be rational and devoid of emotions. He represents both Miss Havisham and Pip. He possesses exceptional skills in public speaking and logical reasoning. Additionally, he specializes in securing lenient sentencing for convicts. 

Wemmick: Wemmick is a clerk who works for Jaggers during the day, but in private he is known for being knowledgeable and generous. Wemmick resides in a cottage that he has transformed into a castle and strives to maintain a clear distinction between his public and private life. Wemmick develops a close friendship with Pip, but they keep it quiet.  The "Aged" refers to Wemmick's old relative, who is both advanced in age and suffers from significant hearing loss. The exact familial relationship between Wemmick and the "Aged" is unknown. 

The Aged : The Aged resides in Wemmick's palace and experiences contentment when you acknowledge him with a nod.  

The Avenger : The "Avenger" refers to Pip's servant boy whom Pip perceives as more of a bother than an aid. Pip consistently lacks sufficient tasks, resulting in the Avenger frequently being idle.  

Mr.Drummle : Drummle is a student and boarder who resides with Matthew Pocket. He is a temperamental, dissatisfied "arachnid" but originates from a privileged social background.  Startop is a student who lives with Matthew Pocket. He is an excellent acquaintance of Pip's.

Ms.Skiffins: Miss Skiffins is Wemmick's romantic partner.  Clara is Herbert's clandestine lover. She is kept secret since Herbert is aware that his mother would consider her to be of lower social status. She is genuinely a kind and ethereal young woman who attends to her terminally ill and intoxicated father.

Magwitch: Magwitch is the inmate whom Pip assists at the start of the film. Later on, he reappears as Pip's patron, assuming the identity of Provis. He is a rugged former convict, but appears to possess a benevolent nature. 

Compeyson: Compeyson is Magwitch's archenemy and the second inmate whom Pip witnessed engaging in a brawl with Magwitch in the marshes. Compeyson is a deceitful individual with refined manners who was engaged to Miss Havisham and deceived her emotionally.
